How to tell if a Black Friday console deal is real
Compare the deal with the official price first; a “was” price on the shop’s own page proves nothing.
Below the official price? Only then is it a discount. The official price in your country is in the tables below.
Same model? Check the exact name: disc or digital, storage size, Slim or Pro. A cheaper older model is not a deal on the new one.
Bundle? Take off what the game or extra controller costs on its own, then compare the console part with the official price.
Cheaper abroad? Compare with the cheapest official price anywhere, then add duty with our import calculator: it is often not worth it.
Sold by whom? On marketplaces, check the seller is the shop itself or the maker, and that the warranty covers your country.
US and Canada: prices on this page are before sales tax, like the shelf price, so compare before tax.
