The catch with the Japanese model
The cheaper Japan-only, Japanese-language Switch 2 is limited to Japanese and Japanese Nintendo Accounts. The multi-language Japanese model is ¥69,980 and is sold only on Nintendo’s own store in Japan. Switch 2 game cards are region-free on international consoles.
