The exception: Game Pass Premium in India (₹8,388 a year against ₹8,709 for PS Plus Extra).

PS Plus sells a 12-month plan; Game Pass is sold month by month, so we multiply its monthly price by 12.
Where the gap is biggest
For the top plans the gap is widest in the United States, where Game Pass Ultimate costs $115.89 a year more than PS Plus Premium. It is narrowest in Japan (about $30 a year).
A year of PS Plus Premium is cheapest in Japan, at ¥13,900 (about $88).
Cheaper is not the whole story
- Game Pass Ultimate includes new Xbox games on the day they come out, and you can stop paying after one month.
- PS Plus is cheapest when you pay for a whole year in one go.
- If you only play one or two new games a year, buying them can still beat both.
