Diwali 2026 PS5 and gaming deals in India: what to buy

A sale price is only a real deal when it is below that, with an Indian warranty and a GST invoice.

Diwali is on 8 November 2026, and the festive sales on Amazon.in and Flipkart are running now. This guide helps you check a deal before you pay.

PS5 prices in India right now

Sony’s official price is the number to beat. The lowest online prices we saw were at or just under it.

Sale prices change every day, so compare the listing in front of you with the official price above. The PS5 Pro is not part of this: Not launched officially in India; not on Sony India’s store. The cheapest way to get one in India is to buy it in Japan for ¥137,980 and carry it home: about ₹86,220 with duty.

How to tell a real Diwali discount from a fake one

A deal is real only when the price you pay is below Sony’s official price, for a unit with an Indian warranty.

• Ignore the struck-out price: compare with ₹69,990 (disc) or ₹64,990 (Digital), not with the higher number on the listing.
• Check who sells it: the seller name is under the Buy button; Sony’s authorised sellers give the Indian warranty.
• Watch for “Imported”: Imported units usually come without an Indian warranty. Read the title and the seller details.
• Ask for a GST invoice: keep it, because a warranty repair usually needs the invoice.
• Bank card offers: the listing shows each offer and its terms; check your card, the minimum spend and whether it is instant or cashback later.
• Bundles: add up what is in the box and compare with buying the console and the extras separately.

Disc or Digital: which PS5 to buy

Buy the disc model if you buy, sell or swap physical games; the Digital Edition costs ₹5,000 less up front.

PS5 games are not region-locked. Discs from any country play on any PS5. The PS5 Digital Edition needs the separate disc drive to play discs. We do not track the price of the separate disc drive in India.

Should you buy abroad instead?

Only if you are already travelling: a PS5 bought in Japan and carried home costs less, even with India’s customs rules.

• Manufacturers usually only repair under warranty in the country of purchase.
• Check the voltage on the label or power brick before plugging it into a socket in another country.
• Discs from any country play on any PS5, so games are not a problem.

Quick checklist before you pay

Run through these six checks on the listing page.

1. The price is below ₹69,990 (disc) or ₹64,990 (Digital).
2. The seller is an authorised seller, not an importer.
3. The listing does not say “Imported” and gives an Indian warranty.
4. A GST invoice comes with the order.
5. You have read the bank offer terms on the listing.
6. You know the return window for the console.
